Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain, born on March 24, 1977, is an American actress. She is most well-known for her role in films with feminist themes. She has won a variety of awards which include an Academy Award, and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine named her one of the top 100 people on the planet in 2012. Chastain was drawn to acting as a child and made her professional stage debut in 1998 when she played Shakespeare's Juliet. She was a student at the Juilliard School and was then contracted to a talent holding deal with John Wells, a television producer. She was a frequent guest star on numerous television shows and was a part of several stage productions. Chastain made her film debut in Jolene (2008) at the age of 31. The actress went on to release six films in 2011 with the most notable being The Tree of Life (2011) and Take Shelter (2011). She was awarded Academy Award nominations for playing an aspiring socialite in period drama The Help (2011) and as a CIA analyst in the thriller Zero Dark Thirty (2012). The science fiction films Interstellar (2014) & The Martian (2015) were commercially more successful than the horror film It Chapter Two (2019). Chastain's strong-willed roles in the dramas A Most Valuable Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016), Molly's Game (2017) and Scenes from a Marriage (2021) were further praised. In the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye (1921) she played Tammy Faye Bakker. She won the Academy Award as Best Actress. Tammy Wynette was the miniseries George & Tammy (222). Chastain is the investor and founder of Freckle Films, a production company that encourages diversity in film. She is vocal about mental illness, gender equality and racial equality. She is married to the fashion executive Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo and is a close friend of Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo
