Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the founder and CEO of Thrive Global as well an writer of 15 novels. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, TV personality writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for over ten years. Her role also includes being the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. Originally from Greece Arianna Huffington emigrated to England together with her family around 16 years old. At Cambridge University she earned a MA Degree in Economics. When she was 21, she became the head of the famous debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. In the years following after her college graduation, she was a well-known conservative syndicated journalist. A few more years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current political scene. She was able to get many prominent contributors to share their thoughts regarding politics and culture. Arianna became famous in 2003 when she decided to run independently for the California recall election to replace the then governor Davis. She was also involved in an initiative in Detroit that promoted cars that are fuel efficient. She was named The Most influential women in media by Forbes in 2009, gaining 12th position on that list. That same year Guardian named her on the top 100 media list. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in the year 2011. Then she was appointed the head of the AOL media group. The group included several AOL-owned brands, including Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli is the daughter of Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are journalists and consultants in management. Although she had a close relationship to her father, her connection with her mother shaped the course of her entire life. Even as a young girl she demonstrated leadership skills which she is still renowned for. At the age of 16 the girl moved into England in the United Kingdom for her higher education. At Girton College Cambridge. In her college years she joined the Cambridge Union debating group where she became the first female president and sole foreign president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned a Master's Degree in Economics. She worked as a critic as well as a host on TV and columnist upon her graduation. Her appearance on Face the music with Bernard Levin was also noteworthy. She began to write books and enlisting his assistance in editing.
